Whether you’re staying in one of our cottages or camping with us for a night or a week, this Guest Hub has the important information you’ll need during your stay.

For a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.

Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM–8:00 AM.

• No loud music or excessive bass at any time.
• Outside radios must be turned off by 11:00 PM.
• Children must return to their own cottage or campsite by 11:00 PM.
• Please be considerate of the guests and seasonal campers around you.

• The campground speed limit is 10 km/hr.
• Watch carefully for children, pets and other guests.
• Bikes and scooters are not permitted after dark.
• Do not leave bikes, toys or other belongings on the roads.
• Please use the campground roads and paths rather than cutting through another guest’s campsite.

• Campfires are permitted between 3:00 PM and 10:00 AM only, in accordance with local bylaws.
• All fire bans and posted fire restrictions must be followed.
• Outside firewood is not permitted. Firewood is available for purchase at the office.
• Flames must not exceed three feet in height.
• Fires must always be attended and completely extinguished before bed or before leaving your site.
• Do not burn garbage, cans, bottles or other waste.
• Firepits must not be moved.

We love welcoming well-behaved pets!

• Pets must be leashed while outside.
• Owners must pick up and properly dispose of all pet waste.
• Please do not leave pets unattended if they are likely to bark or disturb other guests.
• Excessive barking will result in a warning and may require the pet to be removed from the campground.

• Smoking and vaping are permitted outdoors only.
• Please smoke away from neighbouring sites, cottages, open windows and doors.
• Cannabis may only be used on your own campsite or outside your cottage.
• Cannabis use is not permitted in shared or common areas.
• Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly. Do not throw them on the ground or into firepits.

Laundry: Located near the campground entrance, beside the office.

Garbage: Please place sealed garbage bags in the designated garbage area near the office.

We do not currently have municipal recycling available. Thank you for understanding.

Regular cottage checkout is 11:00 AM.

A late checkout until 2:00 PM may be available if the cottage is not booked for another arrival that day. Late checkout must be arranged with the office in advance.

If you remain in the cottage past checkout without prior approval, a late checkout fee may be charged to the credit card on file.

Smoking, vaping and cannabis use are strictly prohibited inside all cottages.

This includes cigarettes, vapes, joints and other cannabis products. If smoke or strong odours are detected inside the cottage, a minimum $250 cleaning and deodorizing fee will apply.

Before leaving, please:

• Take all personal belongings, including leftover food.
• Place all garbage in the designated outdoor garbage area.
• Wash and put away your dishes.
• Return furniture and other items to their original locations.
• Turn off all lights, fans and air conditioning.
• Close all windows.
• Log out of any personal streaming accounts used on the Smart TV.
• Wipe up spills and visible messes.
• Leave the cottage in the same general condition in which you found it.

If you brought a pet:

• Sweep or clean visible pet hair from floors and fabric surfaces.
• Pick up all outdoor pet waste.
• Place bagged pet waste in the outdoor garbage trailer near the children’s park.

Thank you for helping us keep our cottages clean, comfortable and ready for the next guests!

• Cottage cancellations must be made at least 14 days before arrival to be eligible for a refund.
• No refunds are issued for early departures, inclement weather or no-shows.

Check-Out: 12:00 PM

A late checkout until 2:00 PM may be available if the site is not booked for another arrival. Please arrange late checkout with the office before noon.

A late fee will apply when a guest remains past checkout without prior approval.

Before leaving, please:

• Remove all belongings from your campsite.
• Place sealed garbage bags in the designated garbage area near the office.
• Pick up all pet waste.
• Leave the firepit clean and ensure the fire is completely extinguished.
• Leave the campsite clean and ready for the next guest.

• Overnight and weekly camping cancellations require at least seven days’ notice to be eligible for a refund.
• No refunds are issued for early departures, inclement weather or no-shows.

Rice Lake Campground is best suited to self-contained RVs.

Tent camping is not recommended because Rice Lake does not currently have public washrooms or shower facilities.

Cameron’s Beach offers transient RV and tent camping and has public washroom and shower facilities. Please contact the campground directly to confirm availability.

Rice Lake Campground & Cottages reserves the right to refuse service or evict anyone who does not follow campground policies, creates an unsafe environment or significantly interferes with other guests’ enjoyment of the property. Evictions for non-compliance will be without refund.

Rice Lake Campground & Cottages is not responsible for theft, loss, injury or damage to personal property during your stay.

Cottage guests are responsible for damage to the cottage, furniture, appliances and other contents beyond normal wear and tear.
